REGULAR MEETING
SEPTEMBER 14, 1959
147
trash collection. The Committee felt that, while there was a definite need for the collection of trash and rubbish,
a survey should be made to determine the cost of such Municipal service to the taxpayers.
Inasmuch as it is unsanitary to leave bottles and cans partially filled with food lying about where they may attract
rats, it was suggested that such containers should be placed in a metal drum.
We know that trash and rubbish are a health problem and find that most other cities are as much concerned with this
problem as we are.
We will ask for a survey concerning costs of such Municipal trash and rubbish removal from the City Engineer.
/s/ Albert Tellson
/s/ Joseph T.
