Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in Regular Session in the Council Chambers, Monday, March 9, 1959, at 8 :12 P.M., with all members present except Councilman Glass. The meeting was called to order by President Stanley C. Korpal, who presided. ROLL CALL: PRESENT: Councilman Korpal, Erhardt, Tellson, Christman, Kroll, Hahn, Erler and Muszynski. ABSENT: Councilman Glass. MINUTES: Report of Committee on Minutes To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: Your Committee on the inspection and supervision of the minutes, would respectfully report that they have inspected the minutes of the previous meeting of the Council and found them correct. Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Kroll seconded the motion. Motion carried. PETITION Petition of Phyllis M. Anderson, Executrix of the estate of Harry D. Weaver, deceased, for the rezoning of Lot 11 Mayr's Michigan Avenue Addition, located at 2201 Lincolnway West. Councilman Hahn made a motion that the petition be referred to the City Planning Commission. seconded the motion. Motion carried. COMMUNICATION: Members of the City Council City Hall South Bend, Indiana Gentlemen: February 24, 1959 The River Park Business Men's Association by action taken on Monday night February 23, 1959 want to thank the members of the City Council for approving funds out of the Bond issue for the repairing of the streets in South Bend. ORDINANCE NO. 4261 - - -59 AN ORDINANCE RATIFYING, APPROVING AND CONFIRMING THE TRANSFER AND CONVEYANCE BY THE MUNICIPAL CITY OF SOUTH BEND FOR THE USE OF ITS PARK DEPARTMENT AND /OR BOARD OF PARK COMMISSIONERS OF VACANT REAL ESTATE ON NORTHSIDE BOULEVARD WHICH IS NO LONGER USED OR USEFUL FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES TO THE TRUS- TEES OF INDIANA UNIVERSITY, A BODY POLITIC, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ACTS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF INDIANA OF 1951, CHAPTER 72, PAGE 178, AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION -OF A DEED OF CONFIRMATION THEREOF.
