Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in Regular Session in the Council <br />Chambers, Monday, March 9, 1959, at 8 :12 P.M., with all members present except Councilman Glass. The meeting was <br />called to order by President Stanley C. Korpal, who presided. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />PRESENT: Councilman Korpal, Erhardt, Tellson, Christman, Kroll, Hahn, Erler and Muszynski. <br />ABSENT: Councilman Glass. <br />MINUTES: <br />Report of Committee on Minutes <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: <br />Your Committee on the inspection and supervision of the minutes, would respectfully report that they have inspected <br />the minutes of the previous meeting of the Council and found them correct. They therefore recommend that the same <br />be approved. <br />Stanley C. Korpal <br />Julius B. Christman, Jr. : Committee <br />South Bend, Ind., March 9, 19 59 Dnnald F. Erhardt <br />Report on Minutes of February 24, 1959. <br />Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Kroll seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried. <br />PETITION <br />Petition of Phyllis M. Anderson, Executrix of the estate of Harry D. Weaver, deceased, for the rezoning of Lot 11 <br />Mayr's Michigan Avenue Addition, located at 2201 Lincolnway West. <br />Councilman Hahn made a motion that the petition be referred to the City Planning Commission. <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 4261 - - -59 <br />AN ORDINANCE RATIFYING, APPROVING AND CONFIRMING THE TRANSFER AND CONVEYANCE BY THE MUNICIPAL CITY <br />OF SOUTH BEND FOR THE USE OF ITS PARK DEPARTMENT AND /OR BOARD OF PARK COMMISSIONERS OF VACANT REAL <br />ESTATE ON NORTHSIDE BOULEVARD WHICH IS NO LONGER USED OR USEFUL FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES TO THE TRUS- <br />TEES OF INDIANA UNIVERSITY, A BODY POLITIC, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ACTS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF <br />THE STATE OF INDIANA OF 1951, CHAPTER 72, PAGE 178, AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION -OF A DEED OF CONFIRMATION <br />THEREOF. <br />The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full.
