A <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JANUARY 27, 1958 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in Regular Session in the <br />Council Chambers, on Monday, January 27, 1958 at 8:38 P.M., with all members present except Councilman Erler. The <br />meeting was called to order by President Stanley C. Korpal, who presided. <br />T] AT T /4 AT T . <br />PRESENT: Councilmen Korpal, Carr, Tellson, Christman, Kroll, Glass, Hahn and Muszynski. <br />ABSENT: Councilman Erler. <br />REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE ON MINUTES: <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: <br />Your Committee on the inspection and supervision of the minutes, would respectfully report that they have inspected <br />the minutes of the previous meeting of the Council and found them correct. They therefore recommend that the same <br />be approved. <br />Stanley C. Korpal <br />Julius B. Christman, Jr. Committee <br />George W. Carr <br />South Bend, Ind. January 27, 1958 <br />Minutes of Meeting of January 13, 1958. <br />Councilman Hahn made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Muszynski seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried. <br />PETITION <br />Petition to annex 178.8 acres of land between Edison Road and Hepler from Hickory Road West . <br />Councilman Kroll made a motion that the petition be referred to the City Planning Commission. Councilman Muszynski <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />PETITION <br />Petition to annex 1.4 acres of land on Rose Street at 28th Street. <br />Councilman Hahn made a motion that the petition be referred to the City Planning Commission. Councilman Carr seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried. <br />PETITION <br />Petition to annex land South of the Southern City Limits along Michigan Street West to Linden Road. <br />Councilman Carr made a motion that the petition'be referred to the City Planning Commission. Councilman Kroll <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />PETITION <br />Petition to zone land recently annexed to the City of South Bend, which is located at Ireland Road and Miami Road. <br />Councilman Tellson made a motion that the petition be referred to the City Planning Commission. Councilman Carr <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />PETITION <br />Petition to annex land at Ironwood Road and Ireland Road, consisting of 130.9 acres. <br />Councilman Carr made a motion that the petition be referred to the City Planning Commission. Councilman Kroll <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried: <br />PETITION <br />Petition to rezone land at the Northwest corner of Leland and Pierce Streets and Portage Avenue. Sechrist, Hann, <br />et al, are the petitioners. <br />Councilman Carr made a motion that the petition be referred to the City Planning Commission. Councilman Kroll <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ANNUAL REPORT OF THE PARK DEPARTMENT <br />Councilman Carr made a motion that the Annual Report of the Park Department be accepted and placed on file. Councilman <br />Kroll seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY: <br />To the Common Council: January 27, 1958 <br />This is a report in response to the request from the Common Council to the Board regarding a street light located <br />in the 2100 -2200 block of S. Catalpa Street. <br />We wish to inform all residents concerned that the shield on said light was removed. <br />Sincerely, <br />/sl Anthony J. Sabo <br />Anthony J.
