<br />ORDINANCE NO. 5313 -71
<br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND ?SUPPLEMENTING ORDINANCE NO.4990 -68
<br />CHAPTER 40 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
<br />INDIANA, FORMERLY REFERRED TO AS ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702
<br />(Ironwood & Scottsdale Addition)
<br />The ordinance was given third reading. Council President Laven stated that third reading was
<br />being given at this time because there were only seven councilmen in attendance at the last
<br />meeting on June 28. There were 4 ayes and 5 ayes would be required for passage-of the ordi-
<br />nance. Attorneys for both parties have informed Councilmen Palmer and Zielinski who were ab-
<br />sent previously. Public hearing is terminated. Councilman Palmer made a motion, seconded by
<br />Councilman Grounds that the ordinance"- passed on a. ;Roll call vote of 6 ayes
<br />(Councilmen Laven, Allen, Grounds, Wise, Palmer and Zielinski)` 3 nays(Councilmen Craven,
<br />Reinke,and Szymkowiak) Motion carried.
<br />ORDINANCE NO. 5314 -71
<br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A SCHEDULE OF RATES AND CHARGES
<br />FOR SERVICES RENDERED BY THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT OF
<br />THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND TO AREAS OUTSIDE THE CORPORATE
<br />LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND.
<br />The ordinance was given third reading. Councilman Grounds made a motion that the 120% rate
<br />be amended to 150 %. Seconded by Councilman Szymkowiak. Motion carried. Councilman
<br />Grounds made a motion for passage of the ordinance as amended, seconded by Councilman
<br />Szymkowiak. The ordinance was passed by a roll call vote of 6 ayes (Councilmen Laven, Allen,
<br />Grounds, Szymkowiak, Palmer and Zielinski) 3 nays (Councilmen Craven, Reinke and Wise)

<br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 40 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF
<br />THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, 1963, ALSO KNOWN AS ORD-
<br />INANCE NO. 3702 AS AMENDED, THE ZONING ORDINANCES OF THE
<br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND. (123 East Ireland Rd. Atty: Bruce Stewart)
<br />This ordinance was not given third reading at.'this time because it is being held over for a
<br />continued Public Hearing for the meeting of July 26, 1971.

<br />The ordinance was given third reading. Councilman Reinke made a motion for passage of the
<br />ordinance, seconded by Councilman Wise. There being no discussion on the motion, the ord-
<br />inance was passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes (Councilmen Laven, Allen, Craven, Reinke,
<br />Grounds, Szymkowiak, Wise, Palmer and Zielinski) 0 nays.

<br />AN ORDINANCE FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $800.00
<br />FROM ACCOUNT M -11, "SERVICES PERSONAL" IN THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT,
<br />AND THE TRANSFER OF SAME TO MUNICIPAL SERVICES FACILITY ACCOUNT U -252,
<br />"REPAIRS OF EQUIPMENT ", ALL BEING WITHIN THE GENERAL. FUND.
<br />The ordinance was given third reading. Councilman Allen made a motion for passage of the
<br />ordinance, seconded by Councilman Zielinski. There being no discussion on the motion, the
<br />ordinance was passed by a roll call vote of 8 ayes (Councilmen Laven, Allen, Craven, Reinke,
<br />Szymkowiak, Wise, Palmer and Zielinski) 1 nay (Councilman Grounds)

<br />AN ORDINANCE FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION IN THE AMOUNT
<br />OF $1,200.00 TO ACCOUNT Q -54 "CLOTHING ALLOWANCES ", AND
<br />THE TRANSFER OF SAME FROM ACCOUNT Q -11 "SERVICES PERSONAL"
<br />IN THE FIRE DEPARTMENT BUDGET, ALL BEING WITHIN THE GENERAL
<br />FUND.
<br />The ordinance was given third reading. Councilman GmuLds made a motion for passage of the
<br />ordinance, seconded by Councilman Craven. There being no discussion on the motion, the
