REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 11, 1971 <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Council- President presented the new alignment of Council Committees for 1971. <br />Councilman Craven presented to the Clerk a new ordinance for further consideration by the Council <br />pertaining to prohibiting the sale of certain non - returnable or disposable beverage containers <br />within the city of South Bend. He asked that it be presented at the first meeting in February <br />on the Council agenda. <br />is <br />Councilman Grounds inquired from City Engineer Lloyd Taylor what /the rate,compared to our <br />rate, of the Clay residents sewer payrm tints to the Clay Utilities Corp. Mr. Taylor stated that <br />they pay on standard industrial rate, plus a 20/ surcharge. <br />City Controller James A. Bickel thanked the Council for their kindness in remembrance of his <br />mother. <br />Mr. Otis Romine, Clay Trustee, thanked the Council for their understanding and said he will try <br />to help them solve their problems in any way he can. <br />There being no further business to come before the Council, Councilman Zielinski moved for <br />adjournment.
