481 <br />COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING DECEMBER 14, 1970 <br />ORDINANCE (3000 Edison Rd. Contd.) <br />Mr. Marty Kleva, Lim Associates, stated this project will be a townhouse development incorporat- <br />ing many new modern ideas and will rent for about $160 to $220 a month. In reply to Councilman <br />Reinke's inquiry concerning construction schedule, Mr. John Wilson, one of the developers, said <br />it would depend upon financial assistance. Mr. Wilson said they have not tried to mislead anyone <br />and that they would try in every way to use good planning judgement. Councilman Laven made a <br />motion, seconded by Councilman Allen, that the ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Motion <br />carried. 9 ayes, 0 nays, 0 absent. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4537 -62, <br />SECTION. 3, BEING SECTION 11 -19 OF THE MUNI- <br />CIPAL CODE, RELATING TO ELECTRIC WIRING <br />STANDARDS. <br />Councilman Reinke made a motion, seconded by Councilman Craven, that the Clerk read in its <br />entirety the proposed substitute Electric wiring standards ordinance for the agenda. Motion <br />carried. 9 ayes, 0 nays, 0 absent. <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and <br />opponents were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. Mr. Paul Hass, Portage Realty Corpora- <br />tion and Home Builders Association, and Mr. Kenneth C. Clawson, Jr., National Electrical Con- <br />tractors informed the Council that both organizations were in favor of the ordinance as it is <br />now changed. Councilman Allen made a motion, seconded by Councilman Zielinski, that the ordi- <br />nance be amended as read. Motion carried. 9 ayes, 0 nays, 0 absent. Councilman Zielinski made <br />a motion, seconded by Councilman Craven, that the ordinance go to the Council favorable as <br />amended. Motion carried. 9 ayes, 0 nays, 0 absent. <br />There being no further business to be considered before the Committee of the Whole, Chairman <br />Grounds entertained a motion to rise and report to the Council.
