SPECIAL MEETING MARCH 13, 1970 SPECIAL MEETING MARCH 13, 1970 BE it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana met in Special Session in City Hall on Friday, March 13, 1970 at 8:30 a.m., in the Council Chambers in the County -City Building. The meeting was called to order by Robert O. Laven, Council- President. He instructed the Clerk to read the Notice of Special meeting of the Common Council received by each Councilman. TO THE MEMBERS OF THE COMMON COUNCIL: NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL You are hereby notified that there will be a "Special Meeting" of the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana on the 13th day of March, 1970, at 8:30 a.m., local time, in the Council Chambers, County -City Building, for the purpose of: A SPECIAL MEETING ON MODEL CITIES The Chief of Police or any member of the Police Force is directed to serve a copy of this notice to each member of the Common Council and make due return hereon. Wills #190 Member of the South Bend Police Department Councilmen Allen, Laven, Craven, Grounds, Palmer, Zielinski, Reinke and Szymkowiak Councilman Wise A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF A COMPREHEN- SIVE CITY DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM. WHEREAS, the City of South Bend has prepared a comprehensive city demonstration program; and WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend finds that the program is neces- sary and desirable in order to improve the living conditions of people living in the model neighborhood; and WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend desires that the comprehensive city demonstration program be submitted to the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (herein called the Secretary) for funding under Title I of the Demonstration Cities and Metropolitan Development Act of 1966.
