1 2011d, <br />SPECIAL MEETING JULY 7, 1969 <br />REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: <br />Your Committee to whom was referred "AN ORDINANCE FIXING MAXIMUM SALARIES OF APPOINTED <br />OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FOR THE YEAR 1970." <br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion the Ordinance <br />go to the Council favorable as amended. <br />/s/ William W. Grounds <br />Chairman <br />There being no objections, the report was accepted as read and placed on file. <br />ORDINANCES, THIRD READING <br />ORDINANCE NO. 5091 -69 <br />AN ORDINANCE FIXING MAXIMUM SALARIES OF APPOINTED <br />OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />INDIANA, FOR THE YEAR 1970. AS AMENDED. <br />The Ordinance was given third reading. City Attorney suggested a roll call vote be taken on <br />the amendments to the Ordinance. Councilman Craven made a motion that the amendments to the <br />Ordinance be adopted. Councilman Reinke seconded the motion. Motion carried. 8_ayes,(Council- <br />men Craven, Allen, Grounds, Palmer, Reinke, Szymkowiak, Wise and Zielinski.) 1 nay,(Councilman <br />Laven.) President Laven called for a vote on passage on the Ordinance as amended. <br />The ordinance was passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes, 0 nays. (Councilman Laven voted "aye <br />with reservations he stated) <br />There being no further business to come before the Council, Councilman Allen made a motion to <br />adjourn.
