185 <br />REGULAR MEETING MAY 12, 1969 <br />CITIZENS REQUESTS - MISCELLANEOUS MATTERS <br />Mr. Roman Kowalski, 802 Birchwood Drive, commented that the local newspapers and television <br />stations should have given coverage to the "Little 500" races at Indiana University, Bloomington, <br />Indiana because many local young men participated in the event. <br />Miss Virginia Guthrie, South Bend Civic Planning Association, complimented our local Fire and <br />Police Departments on their fine Open House held during last week's Police and Fire Week. <br />Council - President Laven directed the Clerk to send a letter to the Police Chief and Fire Chief <br />thanking them for their efforts in holding an Open House for the People of South Bend.
