OF THE WHOLE FEBRUARY 24, 1969 <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE WASTEWATER <br />TREATMENT PLANT OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AND STOCKBERGER <br />MACHINERY, INCORPORATED OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FOR THE <br />PURCHASE OF ONE (1) SULLAIR MODEL 150 -GP PORTABLE AIR <br />COMPRESSOR IN THE SUM OF $3,101.00 <br />i A13 <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and <br />opponents were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. John Hunter, Water Works Superin- <br />tendent, spoke in favor of the Ordinance and answered various questions directed to his by <br />the Councilmen. Councilman Laven made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as <br />favorable. Councilman Szymkowiak seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE WASTEWATER <br />TREATMENT PLANT OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AND A. H. CHOITZ <br />& COMPANY, INCORPORATED OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FOR THE <br />PURCHASE.OF A JOHN DEERE TURF TRACTOR IN THE SUM OF <br />$4,150.80 <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and <br />opponents were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. John Hunter, Water Works Superintend- <br />ent and Morgan Peck, Building Department Maintenance Supervisor, answered various questions <br />directed to them by the Councilmen. Mr. Hunter said that this particular tractor was chosen <br />by the men who will use the equipment because it has the type of transmission needed to do <br />the work. Councilman Laven made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. <br />Councilman Szymkowiak seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $2,500.00 FROM THE GENERAL <br />FUND TO ACCOUNT B -725, "OFFICE EQUIPMENT" IN THE OFFICE OF <br />THE CITY CONTROLLER <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above Ordinance, proponents and <br />opponents were given an opportunity;,to be heard thereon. 'City Controller James A. Bickel <br />spoke for the Ordinance and said the present machine could not be repaired. Councilman <br />Szymkowiak made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Reinke <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />There being no further business before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Laven made a <br />motion to rise and report to the Council. Councilman Reinke seconded the motion.
