Councilman Craven agreed and point6d out that small groups should assist these kids with training of <br />self respect. <br />Miss Guthrie suggested that the "108 Concerned Women" who voiced their opinion in the "Voice of the People" <br />should be invited by the Council to discuss the issues of offenses by juveniles against residents on the <br />streets. The "concerned women" need to stand up when the juvenile offenders are in court and count them- <br />selves on the side of the law. <br />Councilman Laven further stated that he hoped the Council action shows that they are trying. <br />Councilman Allen discussed the fire alarm ordinance referring to Burns Statutes, in which the ordinance <br />committee has discussed false fire alarms. Burns 2 -520 making the parent responsible. <br />There being no further business to come before the Council, Councilman Craven made a motion to adjourn. <br />Councilman Allen seconded the motion. Motion carried. Time: 8 :47 P.M. <br />ATTEST: APPROVED: <br />City Cl President <br />The regular meeting of the Common Council on December 23, 1968 was cancelled due to the nearness of the <br />Holiday, also, there being no urgent matters to be considered at a Public Meeting. <br />
