REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 12 1968 <br />ORDINANCES, THIRD READING <br />ORDINANCE NO. 5025 -68 <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS FROM THE <br />GENERAL FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $58,000.00 TO VARIOUS <br />ACCOUNTS WITHIN THE GENERAL FUND, AS AMENDED. <br />The Ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 8 ayes, (Councilmen Laven, Allen, <br />Reinke, Grounds, Szymkowiak, Wise, Palmer, and Zielinski). 1 nay (Councilman Craven), 0 absent. <br />ORDINANCES, THIRD READING <br />ORDINANCE NO. 5026 -68 <br />AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING A COMMUNITY ACTION <br />AGENCY FOR THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />The Ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes, (Councilmen Laven, Allen, <br />Craven, Reinke, Grounds, Szymkowiak, Wise, Palmer, and Zielinski). 0 nays, 0 absent. <br />ORDINANCES, FIRST AND SECOND READING <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA -1962, SECTION 40 AS <br />AMENDED AND GENERAL ORDINANCE NO. 4990 -68, AND THE <br />ACCOMPANYING MAP THERETO, GENERALLY KNOWN AS THE <br />SOUTH BEND ZONING ORDINANCE BY CHANGING THE <br />CLASSIFICATION OF THE USE DISTRICT FOR A CERTAIN <br />PARCEL OF LAND. (Michigan and Woodside) <br />The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Szymkowiak made a <br />motion the Ordinance be set for public hearing on August 26, 1968. Councilman Allen seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCES, FIRST AND SECOND READING <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION <br />TO ACCOUNT M -252, "REPAIRS OF EQUIPMENT" IN <br />THE AMOUNT OF $150.00 AND THE TRANSFER OF SAID <br />SUM FROM ACCOUNT M -722, "MOTOR EQUIPMENT" IN <br />THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT, ALL BEING WITHIN THE <br />GENERAL FUND. <br />The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Szymkowiak made a <br />motion the Ordinance be set for public hearing on August 26, 1968. Councilman Reinke seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Councilman Grounds said he had recieved many complaints from the residents in the Pin Hook Lagoon area about <br />rowdy behavior in the park during late hours. He also said, the Park Board was to put up a fence but nothing <br />has been done as yet. Councilman Allen stated that this problem came up several years ago but the problem <br />seems to Cefy _correction:. She suggested the sale of propeyty to the residents might help solve the situation. <br />Mr. Taylor, City Engineer, said this is a public right of way and the Park Department owns five feet of the <br />property and the city owns thirty feet. <br />There being no further business to come before the Council, Councilman Palmer made a motion to adjourn. <br />Councilman Wise seconded the motion.
