<br />This ordinance had second reading. Councilman Taylor made a motion that the ordinance pass,
<br />seconded by Councilman Kopczynski. The ordinance passed by a roll call vote of nine ayes (Council
<br />men Serge, Szymkowiak, Miller, Parent, Taylor, Kopczynski, Horvath, Newburn and Nemeth).

<br />This ordinance had second reading. Councilman Kopczynski made a motion that the ordinance pass,
<br />seconded by Council President Nemeth. The ordinance was defeated by a roll call vote of two ayes
<br />(Councilman Kopczynski and Council President Nemeth) and seven nays (Councilmen Serge, Szymkowiak,
<br />Miller, Parent, Taylor, Horvath and Newburn).

<br />ORDINANCE NO. 5559 -73
<br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $32,195.00
<br />FROM THE CUMULATIVE SEWER BUILDING AND SINKING
<br />FUND (RETENTION BASIN CONSTRUCTION).
<br />This ordinance had second reading. Councilman Kopczynski made a motion to amend the ordinance by
<br />the deletion of the figure $32,195.00 and the insertion in its place, wherever mentioned, of the
<br />figure $32,438.00, seconded by Councilman Taylor. The motion carried. Councilman Newburn then
<br />made a motion that the ordinance pass, as amended, seconded by Councilman Kopczynski. The ordina
<br />passed by a roll call vote of nine ayes (Councilmen Serge, Szymkowiak, Miller, Parent, Taylor,
<br />Kopczynski, Horvath, Newburn and Nemeth). Council President Nemeth indicated to City Attorney
<br />Roemer that he hoped this same type of situation would not happen again when contracting for con-
<br />struction projects.

<br />RESOLUTION NO. 381 -73 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
<br />OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, CREDITING ANNE MARGER WITH
<br />FOUR YEARS OF PUBLIC SERVICE WITH THE ST. JOSEPH
<br />HEALTH DEPARTMENT AND THEREBY QUALIFYING HER FOR
<br />A FIFTEEN -YEAR PENSION.
