<br />REPORT FROM AREA PLAN COMMISSION - CONTINUED
<br />The attached zoning ordinance originated by the Area Plan Commission of
<br />St. Joseph County was advertised for public hearing on December 11 and 18, 1971
<br />and a public hearing was held on Tuesday, December 21, 1971 at which time the
<br />following action was taken:
<br />After due consideration, a motion was made, seconded and unanimously
<br />carried to recommend this proposed ordinance for approval to the
<br />Common Council of the City of South Bend.
<br />Excerpts from the minutes of the Area Plan Commission meeting are attached.

<br />Council President Nemeth entertained a motion to waive the reading of the Committee of the Whole
<br />report, so moved by Councilman Kopczynski, seconded by Councilman Miller, and carried.

<br />This ordinance was given third reading. Councilman Kopczynski made a motion for passage of the
<br />ordinance, seconded by Councilman Szymkowiak. The ordinance passed by a roll call vote of
<br />nine ayes (Councilmen Serge, Szymkowiak, Miller, Parent, Taylor, Kopczynski, Horvath, Newburn
<br />and Nemeth). 0 nays.

<br />ordinance, seconded by Councilman Szymkowiak. The ordinance passed by a roll call vote of
<br />nine ayes (Councilmen Serge, Szymkowiak, Miller, Parent, Taylor, Kopczynski, Horvath, Newburn
<br />and Nemeth). 0 nays.

<br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE WATER WORKS
<br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AND GAMON - CALMET INDUSTRIES,
<br />INC. FLORENCE, KENTUCKY, FOR THE PURCHASE OF AN ASSORTMENT
<br />OF WATER METERS FOR USE FROM FEBRUARY 7, 1972 TO FEBRUARY 7,
<br />1973 IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,886.24.
<br />This ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Szymkowi
<br />made a motion that the ordinance be set for public hearing on February 28, 1972. Seconded by
<br />Councilman Newburn and unanimously carried.

<br />.ASSORTMENT OF WATER METERS FOR USE FROM FEBRUARY 7, 1972
<br />TO FEBRUARY 7, 1973, IN THE AMOUNT OF $8,189.00.
<br />This ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Taylor
<br />made a motion, seconded by Councilman Kopczynski, that the ordinance be set for public hearing
<br />on February 28, 1972. Motion carried.
