REGULAR MEETING RECONVENED (CONTINUED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 6769 -80 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A LOAN AGREEMENT <br />AND TRUST INDENTURE AND BONDS, AND APPROVING THE FORM AND <br />TERMS OF THE LOAN AGREEMENT AND TRUST INDENTURE AND BOND <br />AND AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT REVENUE <br />BONDS AND APPROVING RESOLUTION NO. 3 -80 OF THE SOUTH BEND <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION RELATING TO THE IRELAND / <br />IRONWOOD ASSOCIATES PROJECT. <br />This bill had second reading. Council Member Serge made a motion to pass this bill, seconded by <br />Council Member Taylor. The bill passed by a roll call vote of nine ayes. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 6770 -80 <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FORM AND TERMS OF TRUST INDENTURE <br />AND USER AGREEMENT, REAL ESTATE MORTGAGE AND INDUSTRIAL <br />DEVELOPMENT REVENUE BONDS, AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION <br />THEREOF AND APPROVING RESOLUTION NO. 5 -80 OF THE SOUTH BEND <br />DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION RELATING TO THE GREENWOOD REALTY <br />CORPORATION PROJECT. <br />This bill had second reading. Council Member Taylor made a motion to pass this bill, seconded <br />by Council Member Serge. Council Member Beck made a motion to pass this bill, seconded by <br />Council Member Taylor. The bill passed by a roll call vote of nine ayes. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 6772 -80 <br />AN!ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $25,000.00 FROM THE LOCAL ROAD <br />AND STREET FUND TO PROJECT R &S 8001, EDISON ROAD FROM <br />STATE ROAD 23 TO IRONWOOD. <br />This bill had second reading. Council Member Szymkowiak made a motion to pass this bill, seconde <br />by Council Member Taylor. The bill passed by a roll call vote of nine ayes. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 6773 -80 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $1,517.00 FROM THE DISCOVERY <br />HALL FUND OF THECITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FOR RENTAL OF <br />STORAGE SPACE FOR THE STUDEBAKER COLLECTION TO BE ADMINISTERED <br />BY THE DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATION AND FINANCE. <br />This bill had second reading. Council Member Serge made a motion to pass this bill, seconded by <br />Council Member Dombrowski. The bill passed by a roll call vote of nine ayes. <br />RESOLUTIONS <br />RESOLUTION NO. 777 -80 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />REC0MMENDING THAT THE CITY ADMINISTRATION FILE AN APPROPRIATION <br />ORDINANCE FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING THE EXPENSE OF PROVIDING <br />A FIREWORKS DISPLAY IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE ETHNIC FESTIVAL. <br />WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend recognizes that the annual Ethnic <br />Festival which has taken place within the City has been a festive and successful program, and <br />WHEREAS, the Council recognizes that a part of the success of this program is the highly <br />attended fire works display, and <br />WHEREAS, the celebration of the Ethnic Festival and the Fourth of July are key examples <br />of the type of warm fellowship generated within our community, and <br />WHEREAS, the Council has determined that there is not only the need but also an overwhelming <br />interest by our citizens to have our own fire works display in conjunction with the Ethnic <br />Festival and the celebration of theFourth of July. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, <br />as follows: <br />SECTION I. That the Common Council recommends the City Administration to file an appropria- <br />tion ordinance for a sum not to exceed Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) for the purpose of <br />defraying the expense of providing a fire works display in conjunction with the Ethnic Festival <br />and the Fourth of July. <br />SECTION II. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption <br />by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor. <br />/s /Roger G. Council Member Taylor indicated that <br />the Council has shown an interest in continuing the 4th of July fireworks display. He indicated <br />that the Council would recommend that the Administration file an appropration ordinance for a sum <br />not to exceed $10,000. Council Member Crone indicated she could not support this resolution. <br />Council Member Dombrowski indicated that neighborhood organizations supported this resolution. <br />Council Member Kopczynski made a motion to adopt this resolution, seconded by Council Member <br />
