<br />BILL NO. 171 -78 A BILL TRANSFERRING THE SUM OF $50,000.00 FROM ACCOUNT 110.0,
<br />SALARIES AND WAGES, REGULAR, IN THE AMOUNT OF $20,000.00, AND
<br />ACCOUNT 120.0, SALARIES AND WAGES, TEMPORARY, IN THE AMOUNT
<br />OF $49,000.00, TO ACCOUNT 430.0 REPAIR PARTS, IN THE AMOUNT
<br />OF $50,000.00, ALL ACCOUNTS BEING WITHIN THE BUREAU OF STREETS
<br />BUDGET OF THE MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY FUND OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
<br />BEND, INDIANA.
<br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above bill, proponents and opponents'
<br />were given an opportunity to be heard. - Mr. Patrick McMahon, Director of Public Works, made the
<br />presentation for the bill. He asked that this bill be amended by changing the sum of the transfo
<br />to $50,000, and $10,•000 from account 110.0, be transferred instead of $20,000. Council Member
<br />Miller made a motion to amend this bill, seconded by Council Member Adams. The motion carried.
<br />He indicated this transfer was necessary to insure that sufficient funds will be available for
<br />the maintenance and servicing of Street Department and Police Department vehicles through the
<br />balance of 1978. Council Member Serge made a motion to recommend this bill to the Council
<br />favorable as amended, seconded by Council Member Adams. The motion carried.
<br />There being no further business to come before the Committee of the Whole, Council Member Taylor
<br />made a motion to rise and report to the Council, seconded by Council Member Miller. The motion
<br />carried.

<br />BONDS, AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION THEREOF PERTAINING
<br />TO MASTERBILT, INC.
<br />This bill had second reading. Council Member Adams made a motion to pass this bill, seconded
<br />by Council Member Dombrowski. The bill passed by a roll call vote of nine ayes.

<br />A BILL AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE AND SALE OF $8,000,000
<br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT REVENUE BONDS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
<br />BEND, INDIANA, FOR THE PURPOSE OF MAKING A LOAN TO
<br />BRETHREN CARE OF SOUTH BEND, INC., IN ORDER TO FINANCE
<br />THE ACQUISITION. AND CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN ECONOMIC
<br />DEVELOPMENT FACILITIES; AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A
<br />LOAN AGREEMENT; PROVIDING FOR THE DELIVERY OF A NOTE
<br />AND THE ASSIGNMENT THEREOF AS SECURITY FOR SAID BONDS;
<br />AND AUTHORIZING AN INDENTURE OF TRUST.
<br />Council Member Taylor made a motion to table this bill, seconded by Council Member Dombrowski.
<br />The motion carried.

<br />STAMP, INC.
<br />This bill had second reading. Council Member SErge made a motion to pass this bill, seconded
