<br />REGULAR MEETING (RECONVENED)
<br />11, 1976. The Area Plan Commission gave it a public hearing on September 21, 1976 at which time
<br />the following action was taken:
<br />"Upon a motion by June Stratton, being seconded by Richard Larrison and un-
<br />amiously carried, the proposed ordinance and site development plan of George
<br />and Mary Lou Huston, to zone from "A" Residential, "A" Height and Area to "B"
<br />Residential, "A" Height and Area, property located at 1827 Ireland Road, City
<br />of South Bend, is returned to the Common Council with an unfavorably recommenda-
<br />tion, for the following reasons:
<br />1. The expansion of the business - commercial center as proposed by the
<br />petition exceeds the present land use concept for this area.
<br />2. The proposed uses could be accomodated with the existing commercial
<br />center."
<br />If the Council should rezone this site, it shall have to be subject to the submission of a
<br />final site plan.
<br />The deliberations of the Area Plan Commission and points considered in arriving at the above
<br />decision are shown in minutes of the public hearing and will be forwarded to you at a later date
<br />to be made a part of this report.
<br />Attached for your consideration in the review of this matter is a copy of the Area Plan Commissio
<br />Staff Report.

<br />The attached ordinance initiated by Richard Dombrowski, a City Councilman, was legally ad-
<br />vertised on September 11, 1976. The Area Plan Commission gave it a public hearing on September
<br />21, 1976, at which time the following action was taken:
<br />"Upon a motion by Russell Rothermel, being seconded by Joseph Serge and
<br />unanimously carried, the petition initiated by Richard Dombrowski,.a
<br />City Councilman, to amend Ordinance No. 5565 -73, amendment to zoning
<br />Ordinance No. 4990 -68, relative to Historic Preservation, City of South
<br />Bend, is returned to the Common Council with a favorable recommendation,
<br />by the Area Plan Commission."
