<br />REGULAR MEETING - RECONVENED
<br />Be it remembered that the regular meeting of the Common Council of the City of South Bend re-
<br />convened in the Council Chambers at 7:15 p.m., Council President Parent presiding, and nine
<br />members present.
<br />REPORT FROM THE SUB - COMMITTEE ON MINUTES
<br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend:
<br />Your sub - committee on the inspection and supervision of the minutes would
<br />respectfully report that it has inspected the minutes of the March 22, 1976 meeting
<br />of the Council and found them correct.
<br />The sub - committee, therefore, recommends that the same be approved.

<br />Council Member Kopczynski made a motion that the report be accepted as read, placed on file and
<br />the minutes be approved, seconded by Council Member Horvath. The motion carried.
<br />REPORT FROM THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE
<br />Council Member Taylor made a motion to waive the reading of the report of the Committee of the
<br />Whole, seconded by CouncilMember Horvath. The motion carried by a roll call vote of nine ayes
<br />(Council Members Serge, Szymkowiak, Miller, Taylor, Kopczynski, Adams, Dombrowski, Horvath and
<br />Parent) .

<br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND.SUPPLEMENTING
<br />CHAPTER 40 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF SOUTH
<br />BEND, INDIANA (723 LaPorte Ave)
<br />This ordinance had second reading. Council Member Kopczynski made a motion to pass the ordinance
<br />seconded by Council Member Taylor. The ordinance passed by a roll call vote of nine ayes (Counci
<br />Members Serge, Szymkowiak, Miller, Taylor,,Kopczynski, Adams, Dombrowski, Horvath and Parent).

<br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4990 -68,
<br />AS AMENDED, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING
<br />ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA,
<br />(CHAPTER 21, MUNICIPAL CODE). (Southwest Corner
<br />of South Michigan Street and East Chippewa,
<br />known as Chippewa Knoll).
<br />This ordinance had second reading. Council Member Szymkowiak made a motion to pass the ordinance
<br />seconded by Council Member Taylor. The ordinance passed by a roll call vote of nine ayes (Counc_
<br />Members Serge, Szymkowiak, Miller, Taylor, Kopczynski, Adams, Dombrowski, Horvath and Parent).
<br />ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING
<br />CHAPTER 21 OF THE CITY CODE OF SOUTH BEND,
<br />INDIANA, 1971, ALSO KNOWN AS ORDINANCE NO.
<br />4990 -68, AS AMENDED, AND GENERALLY KNOWN
<br />AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
<br />BEND, INDIANA.
<br />This ordinance had second reading. Council Member Kopczynski made a motion to refer this ordin
<br />to Area Plan, seconded by Council Member Taylor. The motion carried.

<br />AN ORDINANCE FIXING MAXIMUM SALARIES AND
<br />WAGES OF APPOINTED OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES
<br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, WITHIN
<br />THE DIVISION OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FOR
<br />THE YEAR FROM JULY 1, 1976, TO JUNE 30, 1977.
<br />This ordinance had second reading. Council Member Taylor made a motion to send this ordinance
<br />to the committee on Administration and Finance, seconded by Council Member Horvath. The motion
<br />carried.
<br />ORDINANCE NO. 5967 -76 AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS
<br />FROM THE GENERAL PARK FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF
