<br />ORDINANCE NO. 5848 -75 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4990 -68,
<br />AS AMENDED, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING
<br />ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA
<br />(CHAPTER 21, MUNICIPAL CODE) - 503 East Ohio
<br />Street.
<br />This ordinance had second reading. Councilman Newburn made a motion to pass the ordinance,
<br />seconded by Councilman Horvath. The ordinance passed by a roll call vote of eight ayes (Councilme
<br />Serge, Szymkowiak, Miller, Taylor, Horvath, Nemeth, Newburn and Parent) with Councilman Kopczynski
<br />absent.
<br />ORDINANCE NO. 5849 -75 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $62,500.00 FROM
<br />THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT COMMONLY
<br />REFERRED TO AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING, FOR
<br />VARIOUS PUBLIC SAFETY PROGRAMS, TO BE ADMIN-
<br />ISTERED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH
<br />ITS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY.
<br />This ordinance had second reading. Councilman Serge made a motion to pass the ordinance, seconded
<br />by Councilman Newburn. The ordinance passed by a roll call vote of eight ayes (Councilmen Serge,
<br />Szymkowiak, Miller, Taylor, Horvath, Nemeth, Newburn and Parent) with Councilman Kopczynski absent.
<br />ORDINANCE NO. 5850 -75 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF
<br />$205,500 OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT -
<br />FUNDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT
<br />OF ISLAND PARK AND WHITE WATER RAPIDS.
<br />This ordinance had second reading. Councilman Newburn made a motion to pass the ordinance,
<br />seconded by Councilman Serge. The ordinance passed by a roll call vote of eight ayes (Councilmen
<br />Serge, Szymkowiak, Miller, Taylor, Horvath, Nemeth, Newburn and Parent) with Councilman Kopczynski

<br />ORDINANCE NO. 5851 -75 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF
<br />$255,000.00 FROM THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE
<br />GRANT FUND TO ACCOUNT NO. 260.1, "ARCHITECT
<br />AND CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT FEES AND EXPENSES ",
<br />AND THE SUM OF $28,000.00 TO A NEW ACCOUNT
<br />NO. 510.0, "INSURANCE ", BOTH ACCOUNTS BEING
<br />WITHIN THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM F.A. 75,
<br />"CIVIC CENTER CONSTRUCTION ", TO BE ADMINISTERED
<br />BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY

<br />RESOLUTION NO. 490 -75
<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
<br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AUTHORIZING
<br />THE MAYOR TO SUBMIT TO THE UNITED STATES
<br />GOVERNMENT, DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN
<br />DEVELOPMENT, AN APPLICATION FOR COMPREHENSIVE
<br />PLANNING ASSISTANCE UNDER SECTION 701 OF THE
<br />HOUSING ACT OF 1954, AS AMENDED.
<br />WHEREAS, the Mayor is the Chief Executive Officer of the City of South Bend,
<br />Indiana; and
<br />WHEREAS, the Chief Executive Officer of the City is required, through its authorized
<br />representative, to submit an application to the Department of Housing and Urban
<br />Development for Comprehensive Planning Assistance, pursuant to Section 701 of the
<br />National Housing Act of 1954, as amended; and
<br />WHEREAS, the Department of Human Resources and Economic Development for the City
<br />of South Bend, Indiana, is the authorized representative of the Mayor;
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of South Bend,
<br />Indiana:
<br />Hereby authorizes the Mayor of the City of South Bend, through the Department of
