Council Member Serge made a motion to amend this bill <br />as amended in the Committee of the Whole, seconded by Council Member Szymkowiak. <br />The motion carried. The bill passed by a roll call vote of nine <br />ayes. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 7085 -82 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF ORDINANCE NO. <br />7058 -82, COMMONLY KNOWN AS AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR AND SERVICE <br />CENTERS. <br />This bil -`I had second reading. Council Member Szymkowiak made a motion to pass this <br />bill, seconded by Council Member Beck. The bill passed by a roll call vote of eight <br />ayes and one nay (Council Member Taylor.) <br />RESOLUTIONS <br />Council Member Taylor made a motion to combine public hearing on Resolutions <br />9A and 9B, seconded by Council Member Voorde. The motion carried. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 976 -82 A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE ADOPTION OF A <br />DECLARATORY RESOLUTION DESIGNATING CERTAIN <br />AREA WITHIN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, COMMONLY <br />KNOWN AS 802 S. FELLOWS TO BE AN URBAN DEVELOPMENT <br />AREA FOR PURPOSES OF REAL PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENT <br />AND A DETERMINATION OF THE PUBLIC UTILITY AND <br />BENEFIT OF THE PROJECT PROPOSED FOR TAX ABATEMENT <br />CONSIDERATION. <br />WHEREAS, the Common Council of South Bend has adopted a Declaratory <br />Resolution designating certain areas within the City as Urban Development <br />Areas for purposes of tax abatement consideration; and <br />WHEREAS, a Declaratory Resolution designating the area commonly <br />known as 802 S. Fellows and more particularly described by a line <br />drawn as follows: <br />A parcel of land being a part of the plat of E. H. Rush's Second Addition, <br />South Bend, Indiana, and being more particularly described as follows, viz: <br />Beginning at the Southwest corner of lot 167 as shown on the recorded plat of <br />E. H. Rush's Second Addition; thence North 00- 05' -41" west, along the east line <br />of Fellows Street, a measured distance of 220.60 feet to the northwest corner <br />of lot 162 in said Addition; thence north 450- 05' -09" east, a distance of 28.20 <br />feet to a point on the south line of lot 66 in J. Rush's Fourth Addition, said <br />point being south 890- 44' -02" east a distance of 20.00 feet from the southwest <br />corner of said lot; thence South 890- 44' -02" east, along the south line of said <br />lot and said line projected, and the south line of lot 74 in said J. Rush's <br />Addition, a measured distance of 229.42 feet to a point which is 40.00 feet <br />westerly of the southeast corner of said lot 74; thence south 440- 53' -19" east, <br />a distance of 56.72 feet to a point on the east line of lot 161 in said E.
