H <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />REGULAR MEETING RECONVENED (.CONTINUED <br />AUGUST 11, 1980 <br />BILL NO. 94 -80 A BILL ESTABLISHING A NEW SCHEDULE OF RATES AND CHARGES FOR <br />SERVICES RENDERED BY THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT OF THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND AND AMENDING CHARGES MADE FOR THE WATER <br />SERVICE FUND BY AMENDING CHAPTER 17, ARTICLE 5 AND 6 BY <br />AMENDING SECTIONS 17 -47 AND 17 -49 (a) AND ADDING SECTION <br />17 -47.1. <br />This bill had first reading. Council Member Crone made a motion to set this bill for <br />public hearing and second reading September 15, 1980, seconded by Council Member <br />Dombrowski. The motion carried. <br />BILL NO. 95 -80 <br />A BILL ESTABLISHING A NEW SCHEDULE OF RATES AND CHARGES FOR, <br />SERVICES RENDERED BY THE WATER WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND, AND AMENDING CHARGES MADE FOR WATER SERVICE BY AMENDING <br />CHAPTER 17, ARTICLE 4 BY AMENDING SECTIONS 17 -44, 17 -45 AND <br />17 -46 AND BY ADDING SECTION 17 -45.1. <br />This bill.had first reading. Council Member Beck made a motion to set this bill for <br />public hearing and second reading September 15, 1980, seconded by Council Member <br />Dombrowski. The motion carried. <br />BILL NO. 96 -80 A BILL AMENDING CHAPTER 17, SEWERS AND WATER, OF THE MUNICIPAL <br />CODE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA BY THE AMENDMENT OF <br />ARTICLE 7, SEWER SERVICE FUND AND CHARGES. <br />This bill had first reading. Council Member Kopczynski made a motion to set this bill <br />for public hearing and second reading September 15, 1980, seconded by Council Member <br />Dombrowski. The motion carried. <br />BILL NO. 97 -80 A BILL AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4990 -68, AS AMENDED, COMMONLY <br />KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA (CHAPTER 21, MUNICIPAL CODE) (3610 -3720 MIAMI STREET.) <br />This bill had first reading. Council Member Kopczynski made a motion to refer this bill <br />to Area Plan, seconded by Council Member Beck. The motion carried. <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />Report from Area Plan - Historic Landmark - 1028 E. Wayne <br />Council Member Kopczynski made a motion to set this bill for public hearing and second <br />reading August 25, 1980, seconded by Council Member Dombrowski. The motion carried. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Transfer of real estate to the Department of Public Parks. <br />Mr. James Seitz, Superintendent of Parks, indicated this transfer would allow them to build <br />tennis courts in the Randolph Mini Park. Council Member Kopczynski made a motion to trans- <br />fer this real estate, seconded by Council Member Dombrowski. The motion carried by a roll <br />call vote of eight ayes. <br />Council Member Voorde indicated at the Redevelopment Commission's special meeting of <br />July 25, Mayor Parent indicated that they were reopening negotiations with developers <br />concerning the Odd Fellows Building, and there were a number of projects going on at <br />the present time. He said the Mayor indicated he was planning to hold an evening meeting <br />with the City Council and Redevelopment Commissioners. Council Member Voorde asked Council <br />President McGann to write a.letter to the Mayor requesting this meeting as soon as possible <br />There being no further business to come before the Council, unfinished or new, Council <br />Member Beck made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Council Member Dombrowski.
