Division of 219/284 -9251 <br />.Director, Public Works <br />Engineering <br />August 9, 1978 <br />Members of the Common Council <br />County -City Building <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />Sanitary sewers were installed on Prospect Street from Calvert Street to <br />Delaware Street. This installation is part of the overall plan to provide <br />or offer to provide sewers to the residents of South Bend at approximately <br />50% of the cost. <br />This project is complete and many residents have already availed themselves <br />of the new service. <br />We are now requesting the 50% City share of this project in the amount of <br />$8,834.34. We would also like to point out that the Engineering and Barrett <br />Law work for this project was done by the Department of Public Works and <br />thus, the residents and the City were saved an estimated 20% of the construc- <br />tion cost. <br />Your favorable consideration will be appreciated. <br />Ver yours, <br />-- Patrick M.
