Stancati, Director of Utilities <br />TO: MEMBERS OF THE COMMON COUNCIL <br />SUBJECT: Ordinance for the Purchase -of Snow Removal <br />Equipment and a Force Feed Loader <br />(219) 284 -9322 <br />The Bureau of Sewers is presenting an Ordinance to <br />The Common Council which will approve the purchase of snow removal <br />equipment and a force feed loader. <br />Bids were let pursuant to the Statutes of the State <br />of Indiana and were found competitive. The Contract was awarded to <br />Deeds Equipment, South Bend, Indiana for the snow removal equipment <br />and to Seastrom, Inc., Indianapolis, Indiana for the force feed loader, <br />by the Board of Wastewater Commissioners on the 23rd day of August, <br />1978, as being the lowest and best bids. The amount of the purchase <br />of the snow removal equipment is $33,744.00 and the force feed loader <br />is $49,888.00. From the Department of Sewers $21,256.00 is to be used <br />towards the purchase of the force feed loader. The balance is to be <br />paid by the Street Department. <br />John. F.
