Council Member Taylor made a motion to combine public hearing on bill nos. 32 and 33 -86, seconded by Council Member Barcome. The motion carried. BILL NO. 32 -86 BILL NO. 33 -86 A BILL APPROPRIATING $35,000.00 FROM THE LOCAL ROAD AND STREET FUND TO PROJECT R &S 8601 DESIGN ENGINEERING FOR TRAFFIC SIGNALS AT JACKSON & MIAMI AND EWING & IRONWOOD. A BILL APPROPRIATING AN ADDITIONAL $30,000.00 FROM THE LOCAL ROAD AND STREET FUND TO PROJECT R &S 8506, SR 23 & OLIVE STREET WIDENING AND SIGNALIZATION. This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above bills, proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard. John Leszczynski, Director of Public Works, made the presentation for the bills. He indicated, that on Bill No. 32 -86, the appropriation would be used for street and traffic improvements at the State Road 23 and Olive Street intersection. He indicated, that on Bill No. 33 -86, the appropriation would be used to pay for the design of traffic signals and pavement widening at the intersections of Jackson and Miami and Ewing and Ironwood. Council Member Taylor made a motion to recommend Bill No. 32 -86 to the Council favorable, seconded by Council Member Zakrzewski. The motion carried. Council Member Zakrzewski made a motion to recommend Bill No. 33 -86 to the Council favorable, seconded by Council Member Taylor. The motion carried. BILL NO. 34 -86 A BILL APPROPRIATING $34,186.00 FROM THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT FUND COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING TRUST FUND FOR PARKING GARAGE IMPROVEMENTS. This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above bill, proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard. John Leszczynski, Director of Public Works, made the presentation for the bill. He indicated this appropriation will allow the City to make exterior repairs and repaint the Colfax and St. Joseph Street parking garages. He indicated that the repainting helps preserve the concrete. Council Member Barcome made a motion to recommend this bill to the Council favorable, seconded by Council Member Zakrzewski. The motion carried. BILL NO. 35 -86 A BILL APPROPRIATING $13,700.00 FROM THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT FUND COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS THE GENERAL REVENUE SHARING TRUST FUND FOR THE 1986 SUMMER CLEAN -UP PROGRAM. This being the time and opponents were Code Enforcement, appropriation would Clean -up Program. the Council favorable heretofore set for public hearing on the above bill, proponents given an opportunity to be heard. Kathy Barnard, Director of made the presentation for the bill. He indicated this be used to fund the Neighborhood Code Enforcement 1986 Summer Council Member Barcome made a motion to recommend this bill to seconded by Council Member Zakrzewski. The motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Committee of the Whole, Council Member Taylor made a motion to rise and report to the Council, and recess, seconded by Council Member Voorde. The motion carried and the meeting was recessed at 8:10 p.m..
