REGULAR MEETING MAY 13, 1985 <br />This bill had first reading. Council Member Crone made a motion to refer this bill to <br />Area Plan, seconded by Council Member Taylor. The motion carried. <br />BILL NO. 46 -85 <br />FIRST READING ON A BILL AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />(THE "CITY "), TO ISSUE ITS "ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT REVENUE BONDS, SERIES <br />1985 (THOMAS W. MITTLER D /B /A T.A.N.K.S, PROJECT), IN THE AGGREGATE <br />PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF ONE MILLION TWO HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS <br />($1,250,000.00) AND APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING CERTAIN ACTIONS WITH <br />RESPECT THERETO. <br />This bill had first reading. Council Member Zakrzewski made a motion to set this bill <br />for second reading and public hearing May 28, 1985, seconded by Council Member Braboy. <br />The motion carried. <br />BILL NO. 47 -85 FIRST READING ON A BILL AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />(THE "CITY "), TO ISSUE ITS "ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT REVENUE BONDS, SERIES <br />1985 (MITTLER SUPPLY, INC. PROJECT), IN THE AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT <br />OF FOUR HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($400,000.00) AND APPROVING AND <br />AUTHORIZING CERTAIN ACTIONS WITH RESPECT THERETO. <br />This bill had first reading. Council Member Zakrzewski made a motion to set this bill <br />for second reading and public hearing May 28, seconded by Council Member Taylor. The <br />motion carried. <br />BILL NO. 48 -85 <br />FIRST READING ON A BILL AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR PROPERTY <br />LOCATED AT 3308 E. JEFFERSON BLVD., IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA. <br />This bill had first reading. Council Member Taylor made a motion to refer this bill to <br />Area Plan, seconded by Council Member Braboy. The motion carried. <br />BILL NO. 49 -85 FIRST READING ON A BILL DECREASING THE 1985 BUDGET OF THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND IN VARIOUS ACCOUNTS WITHIN VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF THE <br />GENERAL FUND AND PARK FUND. <br />This bill had first reading. Council Member Serge made a motion to set this bill for <br />second reading and public hearing May 28 and refer it to the Personnel and Finance and <br />Parks committees, seconded by Council Member Puzzello. The motion carried. <br />BILL NO. 50 -85 <br />FIRST READING ON A BILL ESTABLISHING A NONREVERTING "EAST BANK TRAIL <br />FUND ". <br />This bill had first reading. Council Member Crone made a motion to set this bill for <br />second reading and public hearing May 28 and refer it to the Personnel and Finance and <br />Parks committees, seconded by Council Member Zakrzewski. The motion carried. <br />BILL NO. 51 -85 <br />FIRST READING ON A BILL APPROPRIATING $45,000.00 FROM THE GENERAL FUND <br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR A FACILITY <br />FOR DISPLAYING THE STUDEBAKER COLLECTION. <br />This bill had first reading. Council Member Puzzello made a motion to set this bill for <br />second reading and public hearing May 28 and refer it to the Personnel and Finance <br />Committee, seconded by Council Member Braboy. The motion carried. <br />PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR <br />Gene Minnick, 1922 Kemble, spoke regarding the Armed Forces Reserve center renting out <br />their building. He indicated it is causing noise late at night. <br />Ralph Johnson, 734 N. Cushing, indicated there was going to be a rally May 23, against <br />pornography. <br />There being no further business to come before the Council, unfinished or new, Council <br />Member Voorde made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Council Member Crone.
