REGULAR- .MEETING _ _ _OCTOBER 22,_1984 <br />Ec. <br />Puzzello. The motion carried. Colleen Rosenfeld, director of Community Development, <br />made the presentation for the bill. She indicated this transfer of funds was needed <br />for handicapped access curb suts, rent -a -teen program, Studebaker Cooridor development, <br />special public works, and Bureau of Housing Improvements. Council Member Voorde made <br />a motion to recommend this bill to the Council favorable, as amended, seconded by <br />Council Member Paszek. The motion carried. <br />BILL NO. 114 -84 <br />A BILL APPROPRIATING $55,000.00 FROM THE LOCAL EQUAL EMPLOYMENT <br />AND EQUAL HOUSING OPPORTUNITY FUND TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH ITS HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION AND <br />DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT. <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above bill, proponents <br />and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard. Council'Member Beck made a <br />motion to accept the substitute bill on file with the City Clerk, seconded by Council <br />Member Zakrzewski. The motion carried. Larry Johnson, Director of Human Rights, <br />made the presentation for the bill. She indicated the Commission expected to receive <br />$57,200 from the Federal Government to help defray the cost of investigate discrimination <br />complaints. Council Member Puzzello made a motion to recommend this bill to the <br />Council favorable, as amended, seconded Council Member Zakrzewski. The motion carried. <br />There being no further business to come before the Committee of the Whole, Council <br />Member Voorde made a motion to rise and report to the Council, seconded by Council <br />Member Zakrzewski. PROJECT), IN THE AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL <br />AMOUNT OF ONE MILLION EIGHT HUNDRED THOUSAND <br />DOLLARS ($1,800,000.00) AND APPROVING AND <br />AUTHORIZING CERTAIN ACTIONS WITH RESPECT <br />THERETO. <br />This bill had second reading. Council Member Puzzello made a motion to pass the <br />bill, seconded by Council Member Crone. The bill passed by a roll call vote of seven <br />ayes. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 7394 -84 AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING $48,000.00 AMONG ACCOUNTS WITHIN <br />THE DIVISION OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT. <br />This bill had second reading. Council Member Voorde made a motion to amend this <br />bill, as amended in the Committee of the Whole, seconded by Council Member Zakrzewski. <br />The motion carried.
