REGULAR- .MEETING _ _ _OCTOBER 22,_1984 Ec. Puzzello. The motion carried. Colleen Rosenfeld, director of Community Development, made the presentation for the bill. She indicated this transfer of funds was needed for handicapped access curb suts, rent -a -teen program, Studebaker Cooridor development, special public works, and Bureau of Housing Improvements. Council Member Voorde made a motion to recommend this bill to the Council favorable, as amended, seconded by Council Member Paszek. The motion carried. BILL NO. 114 -84 A BILL APPROPRIATING $55,000.00 FROM THE LOCAL EQUAL EMPLOYMENT AND EQUAL HOUSING OPPORTUNITY FUND TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH ITS HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION AND DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT. This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above bill, proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard. Council'Member Beck made a motion to accept the substitute bill on file with the City Clerk, seconded by Council Member Zakrzewski. The motion carried. Larry Johnson, Director of Human Rights, made the presentation for the bill. She indicated the Commission expected to receive $57,200 from the Federal Government to help defray the cost of investigate discrimination complaints. Council Member Puzzello made a motion to recommend this bill to the Council favorable, as amended, seconded Council Member Zakrzewski. The motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Committee of the Whole, Council Member Voorde made a motion to rise and report to the Council, seconded by Council Member Zakrzewski. The motion carried. PROJECT), IN THE AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF ONE MILLION EIGHT HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,800,000.00) AND APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING CERTAIN ACTIONS WITH RESPECT THERETO. This bill had second reading. Council Member Zakrzewski made a motion to pass the bill, seconded by Council Member Voorde. The bill passed by a roll call vote of seven ayes. ORDINANCE NQ:. 7393 -84 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $390,000.000 OF SECTION 108 LOAN GUARANTEE FUNDS FOR ACTIVITIES IN THE EAST BANK DEVELOPMENT AREA. This bill had second reading. Council Member Puzzello made a motion to pass the bill, seconded by Council Member Crone. The bill passed by a roll call vote of seven ayes. ORDINANCE NO. 7394 -84 AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING $48,000.00 AMONG ACCOUNTS WITHIN THE DIVISION OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT. This bill had second reading. Council Member Voorde made a motion to amend this bill, as amended in the Committee of the Whole, seconded by Council Member Zakrzewski. The motion carried.
