ORDINANCE NO. (a $' I 'q• > 2 AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING THE SUM OF $3,072.00 FROM CD PROGRAM 77 -605 (FIRE TRUCK) TO CD PROGRAM 77 -605 (FIRE STATION) IN THE AMOUNT OF $3,072.00. BOTH COST CATEGORIES BEING WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS BUDGET FROM THE 1977 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: Certain extraordinary conditions have developed since the passage of the appropriation ordinance for the 1977 Fire Department Improvement Project (CD -77 -605) from the 1977 Community Development Block Grant Fund. In order to insure the most effective and efficient utilization of the newly constructed Fire Station No. 6, the Department of Public Works requires additional funds for certain furniture and fixture costs. Since a surplus exists in the Department of Public Works Fire Truck cost category, a transfer of funds is requested as set forth below: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana: SECTION I. That the sum of $3,072.00 be transferred in the following manner: REDUCE THE FOLLOWING PURPOSE AMOUNT Purchase of 100 ft. Aerial $3,072.00 Fire Truck for Station No. 6 INCREASE THE FOLLOWING PURPOSE AMOUNT Construction of Fire $3,072.00 Station No. 6 SECTION II.
