ORD INANCE NO. (, S I 1- 7 & AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4990 -68, AS AMENDED, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, (Chapter 21, Municipal Code), (Part of West North Shore Drive, South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana). STATEMENT OF PURPOSES AND INTENT To establish an Historic Preservation District, to be known as the West North Shore Drive Historic District, with such uses as permitted in Section 21 -36.1 of the Municipal Code of The City of South Bend, such district having been recommended by the Historic Preservation Commission of South Bend and St. Joseph County, for the purpose of preserving the architectural, historical and cultural significance and education value of the described area. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, as follows: Section 1. Ordinance No. 4990 -68, as amended, which ordinance is commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of South Bend, Indiana, be and the same hereby is amended in order that the zoning classification of the following described real estate in the City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, State of Indiana: A part of the Northwest Quarter (4) of Section One (1) and a part of the Northeast Quarter (4) of Section Two (2), Township Thirty - seven (37) North, Range Two (2) East, Portage Township, City of South Bend, being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot 12 of the First Addition to Navarre Place, City of South Bend, thence running West along the South line of the East -West alley between Marquette Avenue and West North Shore Drive to the Northwest corner of Lot 26 of said Subdivision; thence continuing West to the Northeast corner of Lot 130 of Park Addition Replat, thence Northwesterly along the South line of the East - West alley between Marquette Avenue and West North Shore Drive to the Northwest corner of Lot 149 of said Subdivision, said point being on the East Right - Of -Way line of Iroquois Street; thence South along said line and said line extended, to the North line of the St. Joseph River, thence East along said North line to the Southeast corner of Lot B, First Addition to Navarre Place, said point also being on the West Right -Of -Way line of Michigan Street (U.S. 31), thence North to the place of beginning. Including, but not limited to, Lots numbered 12 through 26, inclusive, and Lots B through P, in- clusive, of the First Addition to Navarre Place; Lots numbered 130 through 1 inclusive, of Park Addition Replat;
