The Kotz Farmhouse was originally built as an Italianate but converted by the surviving
Kotz Family members to Colonial Revival in the 1940s. After the last of the direct
descendants, Charles Kotz, passed away in 1950, this lovely 160 acre farm was
subdivided into 1/2 acre lots. In the early 1960’s the remaining apple orchards were
bulldozed making way for the Bowercrest Manor Subdivision.
An original photograph of the Italianate version with the Kotz Family in the 1880s. This
is the only known photo of this home before is was converted to Colonial Revival in the
1940s.

This 1/2 acre home is all that remains of the Kotz Family Farmhouse and the Kotz
legacy.
