ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDIANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE BUREAU <br />OF WATER OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA AND <br />LAYNE- NORIEIERN, MISHAWAKA, INDIANA FOR THE INSTALLATION <br />OF A TEST WELL (MAYFLOWER PLAZA ON INDIANA TOLL ROAD) <br />IN THE TOTAL AMUNT OF $4,850.00. <br />STATEM NT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br />This ordiance concerns installation of a test well field performance <br />analysis at a proposed site located on Indiana Toll Road property at the <br />old Mayflower Road Plaza. The test well will determine whether sufficient <br />water of good quality is available for a permanent well field to serve the <br />far northwest sector. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMN COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. That the Contract entered into between the Bureau of <br />Water of the City of South Bend, Indiana, and Layne- Northern, Mishawaka, <br />Indiana, on the 17th day of July, 1979, pursuant to advertising and <br />receipt of bids as installation of a test well is necessary in the <br />operation of the Bureau of Water, in a total amount not to exceed <br />$4,850.00 as bid, is hereby approved and confirmed: <br />Layne- Northern $4,850.00 (low bid) <br />SECTION II.
