Members of the Common Council February 7, 1979 page 3. R & S 7905 - Lincoln Way East and Twyckenham Drive $ 110,000 00 To be designed by Clyde E. Williams & Assoc, The present intersection at Lincoln Way East and Twyckenham Drive is presently not of sufficient capacity to address current traffic demands. Approval of this request will allow the City to pursue the improvement of this intersec- tion via widening, channelization and signalization, in conjunction with the County's Projects. This $110,000 reflects the estimated cost of engineer- ing and 30% of the estimated cost of construction. R & S 7906 - Miami Street Viaduct Lowerinq 220,000 00 To be designed by Lawson - Fisher Associates The present viaduct on Miami Street is severely restricted with respect to clearance height. This restriction limits the usage of Miami Street by trucks and related vehicles. The demand for additional clearance will be even greater during the closing of Twyckenham Drive for the bridge reconstruct- ion. Improvements similar to those completed in 1973 on the Main Street viaduct between South Street and Bronson Street are anticipated.
