AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $57,450.00 FROM THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT, COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING FOR VARIOUS PUBLIC SAFETY PRO- GRAMS TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH THE DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATION AND FINANCE. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: Additional funds are needed by the Bureau of Environmental Control to administer certain Public Safety Programs and to ensure the Depart- ment's ability to properly perform its functions during the year 1979. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The sum of $57,450.00 is hereby appropriated for the year 1979 from the Federal Assistance Grant Fund, commonly known as the General Revenue Sharing Trust Fund. This appropriation is to be adminis- tered by the Department of Administration and Finance and will be distributed as set forth below: PROGRAM FA 170 HUMANE SOCIETY 1979 ACCOUNT DESCRIPTION AMOUNT 260 Other Contractual Services $57,450.00 TOTAL FA 170 $57,450.00 SECTION II.
