Purpose of this appropriation is <br />to supplement the regular budget line items and other supple- <br />mentary appropriations which have been made in order to balance <br />the funding needed for motor fuel purchases as projected for <br />1979. It is anticipated that the total cost for motor fuel for <br />1979 will be approximately $353,000. (It was estimated in June <br />of last year, at budget time, that 1979 costs would be $360,000.) <br />A breakdown of the total funding for motor fuel is as follows: <br />$178,000 - <br />General Fund <br />30,000 - <br />Water Works <br />50,000 - <br />Street Department (MVH) <br />95,000 - <br />Revenue Sharing <br />$353,000 <br />A review of our gasoline and diesel fuel usage has been made and <br />I find that the usage for 1979 is consistent with the gasoline <br />usage during 1978. We have experienced, however, an average in- <br />crease in cost in 1979 of 1.88 cents per gallon per month. <br />219/284 -9251 <br />
