ORDINANCE NO. 6613 -79
<br />AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE ANNUAL PAY OF
<br />POLICEMEN FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 1980.
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
<br />INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS:
<br />SECTION I. (a) The Common Council of the City of South Bend,
<br />Indiana, recognizes the Wage Committee of the Fraternal Order of
<br />Police, Lodge No. 36, as the sole bargaining unit for the annual
<br />salaries and fringe benefits for members of the South Bend Police
<br />Department.
<br />(b) The Council further recognizes and designates the Police
<br />Chief, Division Chiefs and Captains as the management members of the
<br />department.
<br />(c) Excepting the Police Chief, Division Chiefs and Captains,
<br />there shall be an increase in salary of $400.00 per officer effective
<br />January 1, 1980, and an increase of $800.00 per officer on July 1,
<br />1980. Thus the annual pay of the officers and members of the Police
<br />Department of the City of South Bend for the year 1980, by rank,
<br />classification and service years shall be as follows:
