Department of Public Parks <br />Administration Building <br />St. Louis Boulevard at Wayne Street <br />South Bend, Indiana 46617 <br />Mr. Roger Parent, President <br />South Bend Common Council <br />County -City Building <br />227 West Jefferson Bouelvard <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Dear Mr. Parent: <br />The Department of Public Parks <br />approve the enclosed ordinance <br />from general revenue sharing to <br />PHONE: (219) 284 -9401 <br />July 3, 1979 <br />is requesting the Common Council to <br />for the appropriation of $50,000.00 <br />account #722.0, Motor Equipment. <br />At last years budget hearing, with the Mayor, our motor equipment <br />account request was reduced by $66,500.00, however, the Mayor agreed <br />to the use of Revenue Sharing Funds to restore $50,000.00 back into <br />the motor equipment account. <br />Equipment to be purchased with the revenue sharing funds are: Eight <br />various sizes of trucks, which are listed in the 1979 Park Department <br />budget; one car to replace a 1973 Ford for the Recreation Department; <br />cushman truckster; walking greensmowers; 60" riding power rotary mower; <br />and a 48" riding power rotary mower. <br />The Park Department feels that the funds to purchase the above listed <br />equipment is definitely needed for the operation of the Park Department <br />and respectively requests the council approval of the enclosed ordinance. <br />Very truly yours, <br />DEP�TMENT, OF P L C PARKS <br />James R.
