ORDINANCE NO. (as" 7 • )! <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $684,400.00 <br />TO VARIOUS ACCOUNTS WITHIN THE BUREAU OF STREETS <br />BUDGET OF THE MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY FUND OF THE CITY <br />OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br />WHEREAS, motor vehicle highway tax restrictions that <br />previously limited our ability to sufficiently budget at what we <br />feel is an acceptable level of street maintenance operations for <br />1979 have now been provided with some relief through. the legislature. <br />The administration of the City feels it would be appropriate and <br />beneficial to increase the level of 1979 operations for the Bureau <br />of Streets. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of <br />the City of South Bend, Indiana, as follows: <br />SECTION I. The sum of $684,400.00 is hereby appropriated <br />for the year 1979 as set forth below and will be administrated <br />by the Bureau of Streets of the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />Account Description Amount <br />120.0 Salary and Wages, Temp. $ 92,400.00 <br />221.0 Heat 11,500.00 <br />252.0 Equipment Modification 18,000.00 <br />260.0 Other Contractuals 190,000.00 <br />321.0 Gasoline 50,000.00 <br />370.0 Other Supplies 2,500.00 <br />440.0 Materials 300,000.00 <br />510.0 Insurance 20,000.00 <br />Total Additional <br />Appropriations $ 684,400.00 <br />SECTION II.
