Emergency Hydrant Installation <br />Description of Work <br />On October 17, 2025, the City requested an emergency quote from HRP Construction Co. and <br />Selge Construction Co. The project was awarded to the lowest responsible quoter, Selge <br />Construction Co. The project consist of the installation of a total of nine fire hydrants along <br />Darden Road and Lexington Avenue. All hydrants installed have been tested and are fully <br />operational. The total project cost is $255,500.00. An itemized invoice is provided below, along <br />with Selge Construction Co.’s original proposal. <br />Rationale <br />This project was considered an emergency due to the lack of access to adequate fire <br />suppression for residents caused by lack of proximity to fire hydrants as per the City <br />Construction Standards.
