<br />A..% <br />SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br />• REGULAR MEETING <br />December 18, 2002 1308 County-City Building <br />1:30 p.m. 227 West Jefferson Boulevard <br />Presiding: Carolyn Pfotenhauer South Bend, IN 46601 <br />The November 27, 2002 Rescheduled Regular Meeting of the Redevelopment Authority was called <br />to order at 1:33 p.m. by Carolyn Pfotenhauer. There was a quorum present. <br />1. ROLL CALL <br />Members Present: Ms. Carolyn V. Pfotenhauer, President <br />Mr. Jose Alvarez, Secretary <br />Mr. Cleo Washington, Vice-President <br />Redevelopment Staff: Mr. Owen Rock, Assistant Director <br />Mr. William Schalliol, Economic Development Planner <br />Mrs. Jenny Hullinger, Recording Secretary <br />2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />a. Approval of the minutes of December 4, 2002 <br />• Upon a motion by Mr. Washington, seconded by Mr. Alvarez, and unanimously <br />carried, the Authority approved the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of <br />December 4, 2002. <br />3. NEW BUSINESS. <br />a. Authority approval requested for Preservation and Retention of Permanent Easement <br />for Use and Occupancy. <br />Mr. Rock said this is in reference to the Palais Royale retail space, the heating space <br />in the basement and the space between the Palais and the Morris Performing Arts <br />Center. When the Palais is sold the Authority will retain ownership of the easement. <br />Mr. Schalliol said the Authority has to retain ownership of all of the common areas <br />of the Palais and the Morris. <br />Mr. Washington said he would like the language in the document to stay consistent <br />concerning the Redevelopment Authority, once called "City Authority" and other <br />places named "Authority" and asked that it be corrected. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Washington, seconded by Ms. Pfotenhauer, the Authority <br />approved the request for Preservation and Retention of Permanent Easement for Use <br />H:\WPDATA\P,UTHORTI'\121802.min.wpd <br />
