H I" <br />IDEMOLITION - ENVIRONMENTAL - IDEVELOPMENT <br />JUST CAUSE: An alcohol and/or drug screen may be required where there is an objective basis for <br />believing that the employee has used, possessed, sold, distributed, or been under the influence of <br />alcohol or non -medically prescribed drugs. <br />•:° RANDOM TESTING: The Company will maintain a pool of all active Melching Inc employees and <br />once a month or as the Company determines, a percentage of the pool of eligible names will be drawn. <br />Those selected employees will be required to submit to testing as directed by the Company. Random <br />testing can be completed through the designated collection facility. <br />DISCIPLINARY ACTION: Any employee who fails a company required alcohol or drug screen will be <br />subjected -to disciplinary actions which may include unpaid suspension and or loss of employment. <br />After a minimum of twenty-eight (28) days, any employee suspended or terminated under the terms of <br />Melching Inc Drug Free Workplace Policy may petition the Company for re-employment. If a suitable <br />position compatible with the employee's skills is available and the Company deems it in its best interest to <br />re -hire the suspended/terminated employee, an offer of employment will be extended. At his/her own <br />expense the employee will be required to take an alcohol and drug screen at a Company approved facility. If <br />that test is negative and it has been less than six (6) months from the suspension/termination, the <br />employee will be reinstated as a Melching Inc employee without a break in service. Reinstated employees <br />will be subject to additional testing at the Company's discretion. If a reinstated employee fails a <br />subsequent test, action may be taken that could result in immediate and permanent termination. <br />VOLUNTARY REHABILITATION: <br />An employee who has never been disciplined by the Company for any offense related to the use, sale, <br />distribution, dispensation, manufacture, or possession of alcohol or a controlled substance may seek the <br />Company's assistance for treatment of his/her alcohol and/or drug use problem. The company shall attempt <br />to refer the employee to appropriate medical treatment and counseling, and shall grant the employee a leave <br />of absence, if necessary, to undertake such rehabilitative treatment. Employees granted such a leave of <br />absence will be required by the Company to successfully complete a return service medical examination, <br />including alcohol and/or drug testing. Employees returning to work under this policy will be subject to periodic <br />or random alcohol and/or drug testing, as a condition of reinstatement to work. <br />14 <br />
