C] <br />SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br />RESCHEDULED REGULAR MEETING <br />May 16, 2001 1308 County-City Building <br />1:30 p.m. 227 West Jefferson Boulevard <br />Presiding: Ms. Carolyn Pfotenhauer South Bend, IN 46601 <br />The May 16, 2001 Regular Meeting of the Redevelopment Authority was called to order at <br />1:34 p.m. by its President, Carolyn Pfotenhauer. There was a quorum present. <br />1. ROLL CALL <br />Members Present: Ms. Carolyn V. Pfotenhauer, President <br />Mr. Jose Alvarez, Secretary <br />Member Absent: Mr. Cleo Washington <br />• <br />Redevelopment Staff: Mr. Donald Inks, Director <br />Mrs. Jenny Hullinger, Recording Secretary <br />2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />a. Approval of the minutes of May 16, 2001 <br />Upon a motion by Carolyn Pfotenhauer, seconded by Jose Alvarez, and unanimously <br />carried, the Authority approved the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of May 16, 2001. <br />3. NEW BUSINESS <br />a. Authority approval requested for audit services from Crowe Chizek and <br />Company, LLP for the South Bend Redevelopment Authority Morris Performing <br />Arts Center Project as of December 31, 2000 or through the date of substantial <br />completion of the project. <br />Mr. Inks said that this audit is required by bond issue for the Morris. We solicited <br />four C.P.A. firms to provide us with quotes, and only two responded. Crowe <br />Chizek's quote was half that of the other who responded. Crowe Chizek is very <br />familiar with this type. of work, having done. three for us in the past. They know <br />exactly what is required and we have been pleased with their results. <br />Upon a motion by Jose Alvarez, and seconded by Carolyn Pfotenhauer, the <br />Authority approved Crowe Chizek as the auditing firm for the South Bend <br />• <br />H:\WPDATA\AUTHORTY\051601.min.wpd <br />
