• SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br />RESCHEDULED REGULAR MEETING <br />Apri126, 2000 1308 County-City Building <br />1:30 p.m. 227 West Jefferson Boulevard <br />Presiding: Ms. Carolyn Pfotenhauer South Bend, IN 46601 <br />The April 26, 2000 Regular Meeting. of the Redevelopment Authority was called to order at <br />1:37 p.m. by its President, Carolyn Pfotenhauer. There was a quorum present. <br />1. ROLL CALL <br />Members Present: Ms. Carolyn V. Pfotenhauer, President <br />Mr. Jose Alvarez, Secretary <br />Redevelopment Staff: Mrs. Ann E. Kolata, Director <br />Mrs. Jenny Hullinger, Recording Secretary <br />Mr. Owen Rock, Senior Economic Development Planner <br />2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />• Upon a motion by Jose Alvarez, seconded by Carolyn Pfotenhauer, and unanimously <br />carried, the Authority approved the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of March 6, 2000. <br />3. NEW BUSINESS <br />a. Authority approval requested for Resolution No.139 of the South Bend <br />Redevelopment Authority approving the transfer of real property to the South Bend <br />Redevelopment Commission. <br />Mrs. Kolata said this resolution transfers land on the west side of the bypass <br />between the toll road and Nimtz Parkway that we bought from the Toll Road <br />Authority. The Redevelopment Commission will sell the land to Lone Wolf. Kevin <br />Smith and Deluxe Sheet Metal are expanding their business and building a 55,000 <br />sq. ft. building on the property. The land has a large dip in it and Kevin Smith is <br />doing all the excavating to fill it in. There are 17 acres of land, which he may <br />subdivide and sell a portion of. He is putting roads on the property, and the <br />Redevelopment Commission is building a road to the property. The property is <br />being sold to Mr. Smith at a very reasonable price since he will have considerable <br />expense at making it usable. There are covenants that govern the property. <br />Upon a motion by Carolyn Pfotenhauer, seconded by Jose Alvarez, and <br />unanimously carried, the Authority approved Resolution No. 139 of the South Bend <br />• Redevelopment Authority approving the transfer of real property to the South Bend <br />H:\WPDATA~AUTHORTl'~042600.min.wpd <br />
