Task 505 — Bid Evaluation <br />The level of effort for pre -award services involving well -qualified bidders and suppliers will <br />generally be low. For the purposes of this scope and fee estimate, 16 work hours are included. The <br />following services are included: <br />1. Questionnaire. Examine the bid questionnaire(s) to identify any supplier whose equipment <br />or materials may not conform to the construction contract documents. This examination <br />will be based on the knowledge and experience of the Engineer. <br />2. Qualifications of Apparent Successful Bidder. Review and evaluate the qualifications of <br />the apparent successful bidder and the proposed major or specialty subcontractors. The <br />review and evaluation may include financial resources, and reference checks on previous <br />experience. <br />3. Bid Tabulations. Prepare and distribute formal bid tabulation sheets, evaluate bids, and <br />make written recommendations to Owner concerning contract award. <br />Task 506 — As -Bid Construction Contract Documents <br />1. Contract Documents will not be refined according to addenda and Contractor's bid forms. <br />Agreements, Contractor's bid forms, and addenda will be assembled separately and <br />provided in electronic format. <br />B. ASSUMPTIONS AND BASIS OF SCOPE <br />This Scope of Services and associated not -to -exceed fee for the Consultant's services described <br />herein is based on the following assumptions: <br />1. Existing pumps can be modified by resizing the impellers and replacing the pump motors. <br />It has been assumed that these modifications will not change the centerline of the pumps. <br />Replacement pumps are not included. <br />2. New chemical and PFAS process areas added to existing building. No new building is <br />included. <br />3. Chlorine and fluoride feed points will be relocated. <br />4. New sodium bisulfate room is expected to be located in the existing classroom or the <br />mechanical room on the ground floor of the North WTP. <br />5. Upper level to house the AIX vessels is intended to be constructed utilizing concrete <br />columns or steel framing with a grating floor. <br />6. It is assumed the new VFDs for the high service pumps can be installed in the existing <br />electrical room. <br />7.
