Building Commissioner as to their content and applicability and shall be reviewed on an <br /> annual basis. <br /> (b) Building Contractor's prelicensing registration. All Building Contractor's prelicensing <br /> registration fees shall be paid to the Office of the Building Commissioner upon review of <br /> the completed registration application form, and a written receipt for payment of said fee <br /> shall be given by the City. <br /> (c) Term of registration. All registrations received under this article shall be for a term of one <br /> (1) year commencing on the effective date of the surety bond. <br /> (d) Proof of coverage. Applicants must provide written proof of Workers' Compensation <br /> coverage, such as a sworn affidavit signed under penalties of perjury regarding coverage or <br /> noncoverage, or a certificate of insurance, at the time of making application. <br /> (e) Surety bond. Each applicant for registration must also provide a surety bond payable to the <br /> City in the penal sum of five thousand dollars($5,000.00), conditioned upon faithful <br /> compliance with the provisions of the Building Code as it relates to work performed by the <br /> applicant, and agreeing to pay all damages, costs and expenses caused by the applicant <br /> through failure to comply with such provisions. <br /> (Ord. No. 9902-09, § VIII, 2-9-09) <br /> All Building Contractor's prelicensing registrations issued under this article shall be <br /> accepted as a privilege to do business within the City. <br /> (Ord. No. 8228-91, § I) <br /> All Building Contractor's prelicensing registrations issued under this article are <br /> nontransferable. <br /> (Ord. No. 8228-91, § 1) <br /> The registration procedure set forth in this article is supplemental to all other <br /> regulations set forth in Chapter 6 of this Code. In the event of conflict, these regulations <br /> shall supersede all others. <br /> (Ord. No. 8228-91, § 1) <br /> (a) Upon learning that a person or entity is doing business as a Building Contractor, as defined <br /> herein, without having registered, a citation shall be issued to said person or entity by the <br /> City for each violation. <br /> (b) Citations may be issued for each and every violation of the required provisions of this <br /> article, and each such violation shall be treated as a separate act for which a citation may be <br /> issued. <br /> Page 40 of 42 <br />
