PARENT, Mayor <br />COUNTY -CITY BUILDING SOUTH BEND, INDIANA 46601 <br />May 7, 1980 <br />Members of the Common Council <br />441 County /City Building. <br />South Bend, IN 46601 <br />RE: Ireland Road Widening - Additional <br />Appropriation <br />Dear Councilmen: <br />(219) 284 -9251 <br />The attached ordinance requesting $30,000.00 as a supplemental <br />appropriation to R & S 7903 is intended to allow this office to add <br />the resurfacing of the entire Ireland Road roadway from Michigan to <br />Fellows. A previous appropriation made in 1979 allowed for the widen- <br />ing of this section of Ireland Road. It had been the intention that <br />the roadway be resurfaced by Street Department forces in 1980. How- <br />ever, due to the lack of Motor Vehicle Highway Funds available for <br />use toward this end, I have chosen to utilize Local Road and Street <br />Funds to supplement our existing funding toward the completion of <br />this project. <br />Should you have any questions in this regard, please contact me at <br />your earliest convenience. <br />Ve ul y yours, <br />Patrick M.
