Southeast Quality of Life <br />Strategic Neighborhood Action Plan <br />Action Steps: <br />1 . Map residence locations of all SEQL meeting attendees on wall chart map <br />posted in Partnership offices. <br />2. Identify blocks or block groups and block captains; use flags or stickers to <br />identify the block captain's homes; use miniature flags or stickers to <br />identify the block captain's home on the map. <br />3. Inventory the residents of the block. <br />4. Make first personal contact with residents to check and update information <br />from the Neighborhood Directory. <br />5. Work with security task force to distribute information and train residents <br />to make the neighborhood more secure. <br />6. Each captain reports to SEQL on issues raised by the neighborhood and the <br />success of the process. <br />7. Regularly revisit block residents with newsletter and invite to next meeting <br />8. Continue process monthly and as needed. <br />Creatinâť‘ and Reinforcing Linkages: Building Bridges with Institutions <br />Goal: To create and reinforce linkages with key institutions within and <br />outside of the neighborhood which may build and support the <br />capacity of neighborhood residents and SEQL. <br />Project: Identify areas of mutual self interest with institutions inside and <br />outside of the neighborhood. <br />Assets: <br />partnership center <br />networking ability <br />diverse population <br />75 <br />
