Enforce curfew, <br />2. Expand programs to improve locks and security (smoke detectors) and add <br />yard lights. <br />3. Move street lighting from north of Broadway as redeveloped for other <br />uses. <br />4. Expand tree trimming program <br />5. Hire Rent -a -Teen from partnership center to control overgrown areas <br />(bushes, etc.) around private houses. <br />6. City keep weeds cut on private property and assess cost to the owners. <br />7. Create a demonstration program using capital improvement funds to close <br />streets and place speed bumps to reduce through -traffic and create a <br />sense of neighborhood, beginning in fiscal year 1995. <br />8. Use CDBG and UEA funds starting in fiscal year 1995 to extend lighting, <br />tree trimming, and security and lock programs to all residents of South <br />East neighborhood. <br />104 <br />
