• South Bend Redevelopment Authority <br />Special Meeting -July 19, 1995 <br />3. NEW BUSINESS (Cont...) <br />a. continued... <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Gammage, seconded by Mr. Wroblewski and <br />unanimously carried, the Authority approved the Distribution Easement to <br />Indiana Michigan Power. (South Bend Central Development Area) <br />b. Authority approval requested for Proposal for professional services. <br />(Audit of Bonds) <br />Mr. Riggs explained that the trust agreements for four bonds that the <br />Redevelopment Authority has issued (Blackthorn Golf Course, Airport Public <br />Improvement Taxable, Airport Public Improvement Tax-Exempt, and the 1990 <br />South Bend Central Development Area Public Improvement Project) require an <br />independent Audit of expenditures made from the construction fund from those <br />bonds. Beres & Cullar submitted a proposal to perform the audits for fees that <br />range from $2,400 to $4,800. Crowe Chizek submitted a proposal to perform <br />• the audits for an amount not to exceed $2,500 each. The staff recommends <br />accepting the lower proposal from Crowe Chizek. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Gammage, seconded by Mr. Wroblewski and <br />unanimously carried, the Authority approved the Proposal from Crowe Chizek <br />for audit of Redevelopment Authority bonds. <br />c. Authority approval requested for Resolution No. 99 approving the transfer <br />of real property to the City of South Bend, Indiana, for the use and <br />benefit of its Department of Redevelopment. (Peterson Engineering) <br />Mr. Riggs explained that the Redevelopment Commission has received a <br />proposal from Peterson engineering to purchase a parcel of land in the <br />Blackthorn Corporate Park that the Redevelopment Authority owns. The <br />parcel is approximately 11/z acres. Resolution No. 99 transfers the land from <br />the Authority to the Commission so that it can be sold to Peterson <br />Engineering. Peterson Engineering expects to begin construction within the <br />month. <br />-2- <br />
