• South Bend Redevelopment Authority Special Meeting -July 19, 1995 3. NEW BUSINESS (Cont...) a. continued... Upon a motion by Mr. Gammage, seconded by Mr. Wroblewski and unanimously carried, the Authority approved the Distribution Easement to Indiana Michigan Power. (South Bend Central Development Area) b. Authority approval requested for Proposal for professional services. (Audit of Bonds) Mr. Riggs explained that the trust agreements for four bonds that the Redevelopment Authority has issued (Blackthorn Golf Course, Airport Public Improvement Taxable, Airport Public Improvement Tax-Exempt, and the 1990 South Bend Central Development Area Public Improvement Project) require an independent Audit of expenditures made from the construction fund from those bonds. Beres & Cullar submitted a proposal to perform the audits for fees that range from $2,400 to $4,800. Crowe Chizek submitted a proposal to perform • the audits for an amount not to exceed $2,500 each. The staff recommends accepting the lower proposal from Crowe Chizek. Upon a motion by Mr. Gammage, seconded by Mr. Wroblewski and unanimously carried, the Authority approved the Proposal from Crowe Chizek for audit of Redevelopment Authority bonds. c. Authority approval requested for Resolution No. 99 approving the transfer of real property to the City of South Bend, Indiana, for the use and benefit of its Department of Redevelopment. (Peterson Engineering) Mr. Riggs explained that the Redevelopment Commission has received a proposal from Peterson engineering to purchase a parcel of land in the Blackthorn Corporate Park that the Redevelopment Authority owns. The parcel is approximately 11/z acres. Resolution No. 99 transfers the land from the Authority to the Commission so that it can be sold to Peterson Engineering. Peterson Engineering expects to begin construction within the month. -2-
