Sustainable ° <br />How Savings Were Determined — The natural gas savings were determined by multiplying the following <br />variables: the improvement of the roof's thermal value, the roof area, the difference between the average <br />indoor temperature and average outdoor temperature in the winter, the hours per year when heating is <br />required, and the hours per week that the building is occupied. The electricity savings were determined <br />by multiplying the following variables: the improvement of the roof's thermal value, the roof area, the <br />difference between the average indoor temperature and average outdoor temperature in the summer, <br />the hours per year when cooling is required, and the hours per week that the building is occupied. <br />Measurement and Verification —The savings associated with the Roofing Replacement ECM are agreed - <br />upon. The costs associated with performing M&V on improved roof insulation are higher than the value <br />of the savings that result from the ECM.
