ORDINANCE NO. 70s4_ZQ <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING CONTRACTS FOR THE PURCHASE <br />OF MOTOR EQUIPMENT BETWEEN THE SOUTH BEND WATER <br />WORKS, BUREAU OF SEWERS, BUREAU OF SOLID WASTE <br />AND SHAMROCK FORD, JORDAN FORD, SOUTH BEND GATES <br />AND RIES EQUIPMENT COMPANY. <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br />Formal bids being advertised and received and awards <br />being made on the basis of those bids, approval of those <br />resulting contracts with the Boards is now requested <br />through this ordinance. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. That contracts between the South Bend Water <br />Works, Bureau of Sewers, Bureau of Solid Waste and Shamrock <br />Ford, Jordan Ford, South Bend Gates and Ries Equipment Co., <br />for the purchase of motor equipment are now approved. The <br />following is a listing of equipment to be purchased. <br />Water Works: <br />2 26,000 GVW Cab & Chassis as bid with body transfer. <br />Award to Shamrock Ford at a net cost of $41,012.58. <br />2 1/2 Ton Pickups at a cost of $13,147.44 to Jordan <br />Ford. <br />1 4 Wheel Drive Vehicle to South Bend Gates at a net <br />price of $7,800.00. <br />SP_weYS : <br />1 26,000 GVW Cab & Chassis. Award to Shamrock Ford <br />for a price of $17,133.84. <br />2 10,000 GVW Cab & Chassis. Award to South Bend <br />Gates for a price of $14,750.00. <br />Solid Waste: <br />1 Solid Waste truck- alternate bid. Award to Ries <br />Equipment Co., at a cost of $35,245.00. <br />SECTION II.
