City of South Bend
Public Works Guaranteed Energy Savings Contract Qualifications
e. The most recent audited Financial Report.
While some companies may not want to show their financial statements, as a Fortune 500 company that has been growing for more
than a century, we are happy to share our financial stability and strength for this project. As such, we are including the latest,
abbreviated audited financial statements in Appendix B. Please see the following website to view our latest annual reports in their
entirety. https://www.se.com/ww/en/about-us/investor-relations/regulatory-information/annual-reports.jsp
f. The Provider must be certified and meet the requirements of IC 4-13.6-4 and the RFQ submitted must attach a copy of
the firm’s certification of qualification issued under IC 4-13.6-4.
Schneider Electric meets all certifications and requirements of IC 4-13.6-4. Please find our Certifications as both a designer and a
contractor (certified for over $10M which most providers do not possess) in Appendix A.
g. Describe if the Provider is a manufacturer, contractor, or engineering firm. Clearly delineate what services or products
the Provider is including from their own company as part of the project.
Schneider Electric is a number 385 on the list of Fortune 500 companies. We manufacture products, are an engineering firm, and also
are a general contractor. We touch over 80% of the world’s electricity once it is generated on its way to the end use. In our role as a
turnkey Guaranteed Energy Savings Company we provide turnkey services from initial design through guarantee and measurement
and verification. On a solar project like the one proposed here, Schneider Electric would typically provide all services and likely manage
subcontracts for the electrical, fencing, and perhaps civil work. While we manufacture many products, we often do not utilize those
products on these types of projects unless they make economic sense. We would discuss South Bend’s preferred manufacture for
items like switchgear, transformers, inverters, panels, etc.
Development Construction &
Commissioning
Customer Support
Guarantee Period
Program Director
Ty Miller, CEM, MBA
22 Years in the industry
Your point of contact throughout the project.
Involved with communicating to you and your key stakeholders.
Solar Development Engineer
Micheal Cooprider, NABCEP,
SSGB, 10 Years in the industry
Solar design,
equipment
specifications
Design intent
consultation
as needed
Consultation
as needed
Solar Developer
Ryan Stout, MBA
22 Years in the industry
Site auditing,
solar development and
design
Solar design intent,
interconnection,
solution development
Consultation
as needed
Project Manager
Joe Laws, CEM, NEBB
28 Years in the industry
Schedule
development,
subcontractor
selection
Cost and schedule
monitoring,
communication to
stakeholders
Consultation as needed
Site Superintendent
Scott Russell, E.P.A.
18 Years in the industry
Constructability
assessment
Daily oversight of
construction and
commissioning
Consultation as needed
Client Services Manager
Jeff Bowen
28 Years in the industry
Measurement & verification plan development Measurement and
verification,
performance assurance
Use or disclosure of data contained on this sheet is subject to
the restriction on the table of contents of this proposal
December 10, 2024
Page 5
